Fort Lee PBA 5K – Race Recap (June 14, 2026)

The 8th annual Fort Lee PBA 5K – Running for Our Youth brought runners and families together on June 14, 2026, for a spirited community event along Abbott Boulevard in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Hosted by Fort Lee PBA Local 245, the race once again combined fast competition with a meaningful cause, featuring both a 5K and a 1‑mile fun run/walk.


Purpose of the Event

At its core, the Fort Lee PBA 5K is about giving back. All proceeds support local youth programs through the William T. Birch Children’s Fund. Since its founding, the race has raised tens of thousands of dollars to benefit children in the community, making it a race with real impact beyond the finish line.

Race Highlights & Top Finishers

Runners took advantage of the event’s fast, flat, USATF-certified course, producing strong performances across the field.

  • Overall Winner: Ronan McElligott surged to victory, finishing in 17:57

  • Female Winner: Bianco Toledo led the women’s field with an impressive 19:01

Both champions showcased excellent pacing and strength on a course known for rewarding speed, setting the tone for a competitive morning.

From competitive runners to families walking the one-mile route, the event highlighted the strength and unity of the Fort Lee community. With enthusiastic participation and continued support for local youth, the Fort Lee PBA 5K remains a cornerstone summer event that blends athletic achievement with a powerful charitable mission.
