2025 Demarest 5K Race Report

The 2025 Demarest 5K, held on May 18th at County Road School, was a wonderful celebration of community and athleticism! With over 300 enthusiastic participants, the event showcased the beautiful rolling course through the picturesque streets of Demarest, NJ. Fortunately, we were blessed with fantastic weather, making it a perfect day for running.

Race Highlights
The excitement was palpable as runners of all ages gathered at the starting line. In the men’s category, Ryan Scully emerged victorious, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 16:59.35! His performance was outstanding, and he left the competition in the dust.
On the women’s side, Leslie Goldstein claimed the title of first female finisher with a time of 21:19.31, securing an impressive 14th overall finish.
Special Awards
In addition to the main winners, we celebrated several categories, including:
• First Demarest residents
• First three finishers from County Road School
• First three winners from Luther Lee Emerson School
• First three finishers from Demarest Middle School
These awards highlight our local talent and encourage participation from all corners of the community!

Fun Run
Following the competitive race, participants enjoyed a fun run, adding an extra layer of excitement and camaraderie to the day.
